Geochemistry explores diverse subjects, from analyzing Venus's chemical composition to locating petroleum deposits on Earth. The curriculum includes foundational, historical, and structural geology studies, along with mineralogy, petrology, and physical chemistry. Students have opportunities to collaborate with professors nationwide or gain hands-on experience through our Geology Field Program. The Shineman Center houses four fully-equipped labs, a seismograph for monitoring global earthquake activity, and a dedicated geology computing facility.
