This dynamic cross-disciplinary program equips you with skills to collect, craft, refine, assemble, and deliver news content across both traditional print and modern digital formats. You'll also examine the influences that mold television and radio journalism, along with the unique requirements of broadcast news writing.

Every student must complete an internship prior to graduation and pursue studies in a complementary discipline to expand their knowledge base. We provide extensive internship and cooperative education opportunities with various media organizations, ranging from local outlets to major networks. Build your portfolio through involvement with student-operated campus media (The Oswegonian, WNYO-FM, and WTOP-TV) or our on-campus NPR affiliate WRVO. Through our Hollywood POV initiative, you'll travel to the epicenter of West Coast media to explore the industry and network with alumni employed at leading entertainment and news companies.
