The water and wetlands discipline examines the technical, societal, and organizational dimensions of managing water resources, addressing water quality challenges, and rehabilitating aquatic ecosystems. While students can specialize in either natural or social sciences, the curriculum covers both domains. The natural science component explores physical, chemical, and biological processes within aquatic environments. Meanwhile, the social science component focuses on policy development, legal frameworks, governance structures, and sustainable management practices for water and wetland conservation.
