This three-year curriculum is designed for individuals without prior design or planning education, culminating in an accredited Master of Landscape Architecture (M.L.A.) degree. Ideal for full-time students, the program offers advanced placement options for those holding relevant design or planning qualifications. As a foundational professional degree, the M.L.A. features a focused course structure that prepares graduates for the Landscape Architecture Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) through essential practical experience. The program requires completion of an integrative component, including participation in a capstone studio and a final-semester 6-credit independent design project. M.L.A. candidates must also present their integrative research findings through capstone seminar presentations.
