Within the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department engages in graduate-level education and cutting-edge research across diverse domains such as telecommunications, signal analysis, network systems, computer hardware, semiconductor components, quantum electronics, integrated circuits, and VLSI design. The department maintains specialized research and instructional facilities focusing on: computational systems, engineering design approaches, high-speed computing and network infrastructure, parallel and neural computing systems, visual recognition technology, fiber optic instrumentation, computer visualization techniques, microelectronics and optoelectronic/VLSI components, remote robotics, genetic sequencing methods, digital signal analysis, and telecommunication systems.
