The SHIPS framework for doctoral studies stands out by merging two unique methodologies to expand educational research opportunities. First, it cultivates specialized knowledge within a specific academic discipline. This is reflected in our seven Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) programs: anthropology, economics, history, linguistics, organizational studies, philosophy, and sociology. Second, it fosters deep understanding of critical educational topics. This approach is embodied in our four Issue Domains in Education (IDE) programs: educational policy, higher education, international comparative education (ICE), and education data science (EDS).
