The department facilitates doctoral research focused on the literary and cultural traditions of Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian regions, with specialized emphasis on Russian studies and faculty proficiency in Ukrainian, Polish, and Yiddish literature. Slavic studies faculty provide diverse geographical, linguistic, and methodological perspectives on culture, encompassing literary analysis, historical investigations, memory studies, digital methodologies, and linguistic anthropology.
