Cell signaling serves as a central focus in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology (MCP). Our PhD curriculum immerses students in interdisciplinary research spanning structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, and neuroscience within a strongly collaborative setting. Faculty members, who instruct in physiology, cell biology, neuroscience, biophysics, and molecular biology, cultivate an environment of academic distinction in graduate education, striving to develop future pioneers in scientific research. The Molecular & Cellular Physiology (MCP) program awards a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree and equips students for careers in both research and teaching, with primary emphasis on research training. Participants collaborate intensively with their dissertation advisors and research teams to tackle innovative, significant biological questions at cellular and molecular scales. Every student's academic path is tailored through advisor consultation to optimally support their distinct educational objectives.
