The Economics Ph.D. program is a full-time course of study culminating in a Doctorate. Participants focus on specialized economic areas through dedicated coursework, field-specific seminars, and networking lunches. To ensure comprehensive knowledge, students take supplementary courses beyond their primary concentration. A mandatory teaching component involves one quarter of instructional experience, which can be fulfilled through teaching assistantships either in the Economics department or other academic units.
Applicants from colleges and universities of recognized standing who hold a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent are eligible to be considered for admission for graduate study. English Proficiency: TOEFL - Your minimum score must be 100 (internet based) OR 600 (paper based).
