The coterminal degree program enables Stanford undergraduates to pursue a master's degree concurrently with their bachelor's degree(s), either within the same department or a different one. Students must maintain dual enrollment as both undergraduate AND graduate students for at least one quarter before their undergraduate degree is awarded. University requirements mandate a minimum of 180 units for the bachelor's degree plus an additional 45 unique units for the master's degree. Admitted students in the Civil & Environmental Engineering coterminal program may request to transfer relevant coursework completed from their sophomore year onward.
