Offer students a comprehensive grasp of mathematics that includes logical thinking, pattern recognition, abstract concepts, and rigorous proof techniques. The undergraduate Mathematics program aims to equip students with a wide-ranging knowledge of mathematical principles covering deductive reasoning, broad applications, theoretical frameworks, and precise demonstration methods. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
