Gain exposure to diverse geophysics disciplines such as: resource exploration, environmental geophysics, seismology, and tectonic studies. The undergraduate Geophysics program aims to introduce students to various geophysical fields, covering: resource exploration, environmental applications, seismic activity, and earth's structural movements. Majors acquire fundamental knowledge in mathematics, physics, and geology, then expand their expertise through specialized geophysics courses, preparing them for graduate studies or professional opportunities in government agencies and private industry.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
