Biology offers a comprehensive curriculum covering diverse biological topics. The general biology major is ideal for students seeking a wide-ranging education in biology. This dynamic field presents numerous opportunities. Whether preparing for specialized professions or pursuing a liberal arts education, a Biology major is an outstanding option for Stanford students. The Biology program opens doors to various career paths, including medical, dental, or veterinary studies, as well as graduate programs in biological and applied sciences. It also provides a rewarding educational foundation for those pursuing non-scientific careers.
A high school diploma or the equivalent is required in order to enroll at Stanford. Generally, we receive English proficiency exam results (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, etc.) from applicants whose native language is not English and/or the primary language of instruction at their secondary school is not English.
