The department provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the historical, cultural, and practical foundations of live performance. Through personalized faculty guidance, majors explore specialized interests spanning acting, directing, playwriting, dance, experimental theater, production design, stage coordination, performance studies, and cultural analysis. In their final year, students undertake a culminating capstone project while completing the 60-unit major requirement.
