The Philosophy and Religious Studies bachelor's program requires 60 course units, divided roughly equally between philosophy fundamentals, religious studies foundations, and either a general track or specialized focus. The philosophy program's goal is to equip students with rigorous analytical skills for examining profound questions about reality, understanding, and morality, and their relevance to diverse human pursuits. Through multiple academic approaches, the Religious Studies Department examines global faith traditions by studying their historical development, sacred texts, beliefs, social institutions, and rituals.
