Students will receive hands-on clinical instruction at local hospitals and imaging facilities. After successfully finishing the Radiography Technology Program, graduates become eligible to take the national certification exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Earning this certification permits graduates to add the credentials R.T.(R) ARRT after their name. Graduates must obtain a state license from the Texas Medical Board to practice radiography in Texas. The Radiology Technology Program holds accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).Radiography Technologist, A.A.S.- As a Radiographer, you'll operate medical imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images that help identify illnesses or injuries, potentially assisting physicians with specialized procedures using advanced digital systems.Computed Tomography Enhanced Skills Certificate - Computed Tomography (CT) represents an advanced imaging specialty that produces detailed cross-sectional views of human anatomy from multiple angles.Magnetic Resonance Imaging Enhanced Skills Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an advanced diagnostic technique utilizing strong magnetic fields to generate comprehensive multi-planar cross-sections of the body's internal structures.
