The Power Generation and Alternative Energy program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge for careers in the electrical power generation sector. It covers both conventional power generation and renewable energy technologies, including Wind, Solar Power, Hydrogen, and Landfill Gas, as well as Smart Grid, MICRO GRID, and Energy Storage topics. Students can pursue an Occupational Skills Award, two Certificates, or an A.A.S. degree, and the program provides a Practicum (Internship) with local industry partners. Additionally, the Department serves as a NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) training center.
