Since 2012, the Psy.D. in School Psychology has maintained full approval and accreditation through the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Details regarding program admissions and student outcomes can be found in our records.
Additionally, the ASPPB/National Register has granted approval to our School Psychology Psy.D. program.
Students can choose between two study tracks: a general curriculum or a bilingual specialization. Detailed course requirements for each track are provided in the Courses section below.
Licensing and certification standards differ across states. While St. John's University confirms New York state requirements, we advise prospective students living or planning to live elsewhere to consult their state's licensing board for specific regulations before enrolling in the program.
