Our two-year, low-residency program enables students to maintain their current location and employment. We cap enrollment at 65 students total (approximately 16 per cohort) to foster meaningful connections between students and faculty during our immersive summer and winter residencies. Between residencies, students receive personalized guidance through one-on-one faculty mentorship, including detailed editorial feedback and video consultations.
Our distinguished faculty have earned prestigious awards, published with leading houses, and gained global recognition across genres from young adult fiction to crime novels to lyric essays. Their writings grace publications like The New Yorker, Harper's, The New York Times Magazine, and Best American Short Stories.
Graduates of our program include Pulitzer Prize nominees, Guggenheim recipients, Whiting Award winners, and many authors published by major houses.
Known as mentors, our faculty dedicate themselves to helping each student develop a unique literary style, refine their skills, and complete a book-length work of exceptional quality.
