The Mathematics Department provides graduate programs culminating in either a Master of Arts or Master of Science in mathematics, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in mathematics. Master's students can select from a diverse range of courses covering pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. Every master's candidate collaborates with a faculty advisor to produce a research paper focused on their chosen specialization. Additionally, students may pursue a dual master's degree combining mathematics with another relevant field. For doctoral candidates, specialization areas include algebra, applied mathematics, combinatorics, computational mathematics, control theory, differential equations, geometry, numerical analysis, probability, and statistics, with opportunities for interdisciplinary study also offered.
