Bachelor's Degree
The doctoral program spans 4-5 years and consists of two phases. Initially, students complete coursework to prepare for examinations in three specialized areas - two broad and one concentrated - aligned with their research interests. Following successful exam completion, candidates advance to dissertation writing. Upon admission, the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) pairs each Ph.D. student with a faculty advisor. Regular meetings with advisors are essential for tracking progress and receiving guidance on coursework, examinations, dissertation planning, and other matters. Students seeking to switch advisors must inform both their current advisor and the DGS.
