The Communication Design specialization focuses on developing creative skills to convey concepts through visual arts, imagery, language, and technology. Students gain practical experience across various graphic design fundamentals, such as user-focused creative solutions, typography, interactive design, digital graphics, production techniques, and industry-relevant subjects.
Through faculty-guided projects, students work directly with clients on design initiatives spanning product creation, print/digital promotional materials, brand identity development, and other areas. Past partnerships feature collaborations with Elan Polo International, Emerson Tool Company, School Outfitters, Symrise Inc., and Yurbuds.
Cross-disciplinary teamwork enhances this program, with students urged to consider Industrial Design as a complementary minor or specialization for a comprehensive design perspective. Alongside numerous Art and Design scholarships, we annually present a dedicated design achievement award to an outstanding student.
