Modern agriculture extends far beyond traditional farming roles. Graduates holding a master's in agri-business can pursue diverse career paths such as farm operations management, agricultural marketing, policy analysis, supply chain coordination, global trade specialization, product quality assurance, and numerous other opportunities
The Rankin College of Business at SAU provides an AACSB International-accredited M.B.A. with Agri-Business Emphasis, a distinction held by fewer than 5% of business programs globally, reflecting our program's excellence. The curriculum features advanced coursework in financial accounting, agricultural economics, corporate finance, marketing strategies, organizational behavior, data analytics, business strategy, logistics systems, global agricultural trade, farm policy, and production management.
The program also highlights essential analytical frameworks, examining ethical considerations, international perspectives, governmental policies, societal impacts, legal compliance, sustainability challenges, technological applications, workforce diversity, and professional communication development.
A student may be admitted into the MBA program if he/she holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university regardless of the undergraduate field of study. Should a student have an undergraduate degree other than business, prerequisites would include:
Six hours of principles of accounting (sophomore level or above),
Three hours of business finance or financial management (junior level or above),
Three hours of statistics (at the junior level or above),
Three hours of principles of marketing (at the junior level or above),
Three hours of micro- economics (sophomore level or above), and
Three hours of organization theory and behavior or principles of management (junior level or above).
For other international students, the English language requirement of SAU will be met when the applicant has submitted proof of ONE of the following:
A score of 550 or higher on the written TOEFL
A score of 210 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
A score of 79 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
A score of Band 6.0 (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
Completion of Level 112 at an ELS Language Center or its equivalent
Completion of EF Level 5
Completion of level 5 SAU ESL program
