The history education program pairs a history major with an education minor. Students aspiring to teach high school social studies can delve deeply into historical studies while cultivating the expertise, abilities, and mindset needed to become classroom-ready educators. The coursework meets both state requirements and national benchmarks, equipping students for certification tests. After fulfilling all program prerequisites and passing licensure examinations, graduates will qualify to seek standard teaching credentials for secondary social studies instruction.
