The professional education unit's goal is to develop candidates who achieve academic success by working together and engaging in thoughtful analysis. To accomplish this, the unit (along with content departments) partners with K-12 institutions, Educational Service Cooperatives, Educational Renewal Zones, and various local, state, and national groups to instill rigorous academic standards for every learner. The Unit works with both aspiring and current teachers, administrators, counselors, and education professionals to achieve excellence in instruction, leadership, academic pursuits, and community engagement.
Graduates in foreign languages possess strong communication abilities.
Foreign language alumni comprehend cultural diversity as expressed in their chosen language's literature.
Our language program graduates can critically assess differing perspectives and analyses.
Alumni demonstrate research skills to gather and integrate information effectively.
Foreign language graduates will exhibit expertise in the literature, cultural traditions, and linguistic aspects of their studied languages.
Students must have official transcripts and marks from your high school or college/university. We require a 2.0 minimum GPA for all the incoming freshmen students.
Minimum English Requirements (must meet one of the following)
A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL
A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL
A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL
A score of Band 5.5 (overall) on the IELTS
A score of 43 or higher on PTE (Pearson Test of English)
A score of 90 or higher on Duolingo
