This program fulfills the Associate of Science Track 2 Civil and Mechanical Engineering MRP degree criteria. It serves as a preparatory pathway for transferring as a junior into an engineering program at a four-year institution. Civil engineering focuses on designing and constructing the built environment, involving the planning, design, and construction of major infrastructure like highways, transit systems, airports, dams, water and wastewater treatment facilities, tunnels, energy projects, harbors, canals, buildings, and bridges. Civil engineers handle projects ranging from individual homes and roads to intricate transportation networks and urban development. Environmental engineers oversee air, water, and energy resources, safeguarding society from natural disasters such as earthquakes and human-made hazards like toxic waste. The objective of civil engineering is to create a more sustainable, comfortable, and safer built environment for all.
Applicants can apply who are high school graduates; or 18 years of age or older.
We accept an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.0 or higher on the writing section, or a TOEFL (iBT) score of 64 overall with 17 or higher on the writing section.
