Qualification Requirements
A professional degree is a requirement for licensure with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards NCARB The National Architectural Accreditation Board NAAB accredits professional programs in architecture
A professional academic transcript evaluation for degrees earned outside the United States This requirement cannot be waived unless your highest degree was earned or will be earned in the US prior to enrollment at SDSU.
If you are completing your bachelors degree at the time of application you may submit an incomplete evaluation If you are accepted a complete transcript and or evaluation with completed degree will be required by the end of your first semester of coursework.
Official US transcripts where a degree is earned or will be earned and official US transcripts where graduate level coursework has been taken.
One Personal Statement
Provide a brief 500 to 800 word statement specifying the program you are applying to 2year or 3year MArch describing the specific reasons why you want to study at SDSU Architecture and sharing the ambitions you have for your potential graduate studies
Digital Portfolio
Submit a portfolio 10-15 pages slides via email 15mb max A digital portfolio of an applicants creative work is required for all applications
Two Letters of Recommendation
Students with an undergraduate degree form SDSU Architecture do not need to submit letters of recommendation All other applicants must submit two letters from faculty or other professionals that are familiar with your academic work Seek out people who can comment on the ambitions described in your personal statement and the quality of your portfolio Recommenders should send letters directly to Donna Dunn Academic Advisor
GRE Graduate Record Examination
Test scores for the GRE are not required
