Data analyst, data scientist, actuary, statistician, financial/business analyst, risk analyst, credit analyst – the range of rewarding careers in data science continues to expand. The Data Science program equips students to leverage data effectively, enabling organizations and society to make informed decisions. Through this program, students master mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques for data analysis while developing strong communication skills to maximize the impact of their findings. Depending on completed coursework, the Data Science major enables students to transfer 60 credits toward various degree paths, including the B.S. in Data Science, B.S. in Mathematics with Data Science Specialization, or other bachelor's programs in applied, social, or natural sciences that benefit from data science expertise. Graduates pursue diverse roles such as statistical programmers, data managers, analysts in financial/business/credit fields, and more.
