The Associate in Arts Degree in Anthropology for Transfer is designed for students planning to transfer to a California State University (CSU) to pursue Anthropology or a related field. This program explores the connections between cultural, archaeological, and biological anthropology. Students learn key terminology and develop skills to examine research topics and practical challenges through anthropological approaches.
Earning an AA-T degree ensures admission to the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or program. Transfer students who complete this degree typically need no more than 60 additional units to obtain a bachelor's degree. However, this path may not suit those targeting particular CSU campuses, private universities, or out-of-state colleges. Prospective students should meet with a Skyline College advisor to discuss transfer procedures and admission criteria. All major courses must be completed with a C grade or higher (or Pass for Pass/No Pass options). These courses may also fulfill general education requirements.
