Skyline College's Associate in Arts in Journalism for Transfer (AA-T) is designed for students aiming to transfer to a California State University (CSU) with a Journalism major or related field. The Journalism Program at Skyline equips students for careers in journalism or for transitioning to four-year universities as journalism majors, while also fostering media literacy within the community. Through involvement with The Skyline View, the student-run print and digital publication, participants gain practical experience. The program additionally offers internship opportunities and access to professional conferences.
Earning an AA-T ensures admission to the CSU system, though not to a specific campus or program. Transfer students accepted with an AA-T will need to complete a maximum of 60 additional units to obtain their bachelor's degree at a CSU campus.
