The Associate in Arts in English for Transfer (AA-T) program at Skyline College is designed for students planning to transfer to a California State University (CSU) with an English major or related field. Earning a bachelor's degree in English opens doors to diverse career paths including media, journalism, publishing, legal professions, marketing, education, business, technical writing, and web development. English majors develop essential writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills that are highly valued in today's team-oriented work environments.
While AA-T graduates receive guaranteed admission to the CSU system, specific campuses or majors aren't assured. Transfer students accepted at a CSU campus honoring the AA-T will need to complete a maximum of 60 additional units for their bachelor's degree. This pathway may not suit students targeting specific CSU campuses, private universities, or non-CSU institutions.
