The Principles of Precision Machining certificate program equips you with fundamental knowledge and skills that serve as crucial foundations in Manufacturing/Machinist Technology. All courses in this certificate are incorporated into AAAS degrees in Manufacturing/Machinist Technology. This 40-credit, two-quarter program delivers entry-level manufacturing competencies and establishes a base for pursuing additional certificates and two-year degrees in specialized manufacturing fields. Utilizing the innovative I-BEST instructional method, the program supports students in learning manufacturing mathematics with supplemental assistance when required. The certificate curriculum is structured around the nine Learning Outcomes detailed below, each representing key aspects of the manufacturing industry as defined by Washington State employers.
