Healthcare knows no borders. The rise in public health emergencies, bioterrorism threats, and the demand for creative solutions to health challenges all highlight the necessity for worldwide collaboration in healthcare leadership. As a participant in the Graduate Certificate in Global Health Management program, you'll gain the skills to lead in this field by mastering health governance, security strategies, and policy development in our interconnected world.
Located just 14 miles from New York City, our campus places you near exceptional medical resources, including leading hospitals, rehabilitation centers, academic medical programs, and research institutions. You'll have direct access to international organizations like the United Nations and numerous nonprofits working in global health and development. Additionally, most healthcare administration courses offer online flexibility. The 15-credit Global Health Management Certificate combines mandatory and elective courses from both the School of Health and Medical Sciences (through the Healthcare Administration Master's Program) and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations. This program equips students with analytical frameworks and practical skills to tackle worldwide health sector challenges. The curriculum covers essential topics including disaster response, biosecurity, community health, pandemic preparedness, healthcare legislation, administrative ethics, and humanitarian crisis prevention.
