The Educational Administration (EDAD) program equips working professionals seeking careers as principals, administrators, or instructional leaders in various educational environments, including both public and private sectors. Over four terms, students gain comprehensive knowledge of leadership principles and the structural inequalities embedded in education systems, enabling them to drive meaningful reform. The curriculum emphasizes critical theory, equity in education, leadership in instruction, and community involvement while combining hands-on experience with self-reflection and leadership development. Participants also cultivate essential management skills and form lasting professional connections through cohort-based learning.
EDAD provides multiple tracks tailored to future leaders in K-12 institutions and nonprofit education organizations. Catering to part-time working students, the program draws motivated individuals committed to improving outcomes for students, educators, and schools. Graduates earn either a Washington State principal or program administrator certification, along with the option to obtain a Master's in Educational Administration and Leadership (M.Ed).
