The Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (MACJ) is a multidisciplinary program providing an in-depth, challenging examination of crime and society's reactions to it. We concentrate on applying theoretical concepts and research methodologies to create programs, policies, and practical solutions. Special attention is given to ethical considerations in criminal justice, diversity challenges, analytical reasoning, and management skills. Graduates pursue rewarding careers across all criminal justice fields, such as policing, judicial systems, rehabilitation services, social work, policy development, and academic research. While not mandatory, student internships are strongly encouraged. Our participants have gained experience at numerous agencies, including federal entities like the DEA and FBI, local offices such as the King County Prosecutor and Sheriff's Departments, municipal police forces in Seattle, Redmond, and Bellevue, as well as state organizations including the Washington Department of Corrections and Attorney General's Office.
