Seattle University's JD/MSF combined degree program enables students to earn both qualifications faster than pursuing them separately. The curriculum permits law school courses to fulfill some MSF requirements, while business school classes can count toward the JD. Both full-time and part-time students can participate in this dual degree option. Participants in the Business and Law Dual Degree Program may begin their studies in either the Albers School of Business and Economics or the School of Law, but must complete their entire first year in that chosen school. The second year switches to the other discipline (business students move to law, or vice versa). During the final two or more years, students can mix courses from both schools. Since Albers follows a quarter system and the Law School uses semesters, students must work closely with both the Law School's Associate Dean and Albers' Graduate Programs Associate Dean to create and approve their customized academic schedules.
