Career opportunities and personal lifestyle preferences motivate many students to join Santa Barbara City College's Environmental Horticulture program. The department provides both a one-year Environmental Horticulture Certificate and a two-year A.S. degree program featuring six specialized focus areas.
Hands-on learning forms the core of the curriculum. The program strongly emphasizes practical laboratory sessions, cooperative work-study arrangements, and apprentice training experiences.

High School/University Transcripts
Equivalent of a 2.00 US GPA.
Transcripts for all coursework completed in high school (upper-secondary), English language programs, and university or college. Transcripts should be translated into English by an official translator and/or translating agency.
Unofficial transcripts are sufficient for admission purposes.
Official transcripts are required for athletic eligibility, and may be submitted at a later date.
If you are under 18 years old during your first semester, a copy of your high school diploma is required at least one week before the semester starts.
