Students explore foundational concepts in early childhood education and development, covering preschool curricula, school-age programs, and infant care. The curriculum also delves into advanced topics like observation techniques, health assessments, safety protocols, and nutritional needs.

Practical teaching experience occurs at two on-site facilities: Kinko's Early Learning Center at 365 Loma Alta, near the main campus, which houses both preschool and infant-toddler programs. After fulfilling specific requirements, students can gain additional teaching experience at various community locations. Graduates who demonstrate competency become eligible for associate teacher or teacher positions across California's child development programs, with further coursework available for those pursuing director or supervisory roles.
