The A.S. Degree in Marine Diving Technology prepares students for careers as commercial divers and technical specialists. This program accommodates both part-time and full-time students, offering courses relevant to diving and other marine fields. The comprehensive curriculum covers commercial diving techniques, hyperbaric medicine, marine biology, vessel operations, saturation diving procedures, emergency medical training, and ROV operations, among other subjects. Marine technician education prioritizes collaborative skills and safety protocols. Graduates who complete the Associate in Science program qualify for professional certifications necessary for workforce entry. Earning an A.S. degree expands job opportunities and enhances graduates' marketability across marine sectors. Degree candidates develop marine technology expertise while completing technical electives and core academic courses.
Graduates of high schools or equivalent are eligible for admission, with the equivalent of a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Students must be 18 years or older by the start of the semester without restrictions.
