The Political Science Program at Santa Barbara City College aims to equip students with core knowledge about America's distinctive approach to self-governance while comparing it with other political frameworks. This program doesn't just explore how the U.S. government functions - it analyzes various political structures to identify both their contrasts and similarities. Through this comparative approach, we investigate which systems might be most effective for different nations and whether an ideal political model exists. Additionally, our curriculum explores the roots, patterns, and potential solutions for international conflicts by examining how nations, global institutions, NGOs, and other entities interact worldwide.
