Physical education focuses on understanding how people achieve peak health, develop physical abilities, and maintain fitness. Professionals in this field, whether working in schools, labs, healthcare facilities, or corporate environments, prioritize enhancing personal health and wellness. At Santa Barbara City College, students can specialize in three Physical Education disciplines: Exercise Science, Athletic Training, and Dance.
Graduates of high schools or equivalent are eligible for admission, with the equivalent of a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Students must be 18 years or older by the start of the semester without restrictions.
