The Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics (MSAA), a STEM-certified program from the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business, equips students for professional roles in both public and corporate accounting. Participants cultivate an analytics-focused approach to auditing, taxation, consulting, and management situations. The curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with practical accounting internships, providing comprehensive career readiness. This program merges technical accounting education with CPA exam preparation while emphasizing essential workplace skills for job placement. Designed as an intensive 9-month daytime course, the MSAA also accommodates part-time students with adaptable work schedules. Delivered through both online and on-campus formats at SJSU, this 30-unit program selectively admits students from accounting and non-accounting backgrounds. Those without prior accounting education can complete a 15-unit summer preparatory certificate before beginning the MSAA in Fall.

Have completed a four-year college course of study and hold an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association, or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by appropriate university authorities,

Have earned a grade point average of at least 2.5 on the last degree completed by the candidate or have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 (A=4.0 grading scale) in the last 60 semester (or 90 quarter) units attempted.
