University Certificate Core Requirements

Certificate programs enable students to achieve targeted, frequently pre-professional educational goals that may stand apart from degree programs. A minimum of 6 units must be earned at SJSU. Candidates must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA in certificate courses to qualify for certification. Up to 33% of certificate units (such as 3 units for a 9-unit program) may be fulfilled through SJSU's Open University with departmental approval (per University Policy S16-17).
