The Accounting Fundamentals Certificate from the Lucas Graduate School of Business delivers a rigorous curriculum establishing core competencies in financial reporting, managerial accounting, accounting information systems, and corporate taxation. This one-semester program equips students with critical knowledge for accounting careers or advanced academic pursuits. All coursework is concentrated in the summer term, featuring accelerated two- or five-week course formats. The certificate serves both non-degree students and those preparing for the MS in Accountancy program. Since this program builds essential accounting foundations, MSA applicants without prior accounting degrees must complete this certificate before beginning MSA coursework.
Students must hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
