The BM-Bachelor of Music in Music Education program, provided by the School of Music, meets the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) requirements for single subject credential preparation. Those who choose not to pursue one of the degree options, or candidates aiming for credentials in non-listed subjects, must successfully complete all sections of the relevant CCTC-approved subject matter tests.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
