The BFA in Graphic Design, provided by the Design Department, equips students for careers that demand both creative and analytical skills in visual communication. This comprehensive program blends conceptual learning with hands-on practice, focusing on key areas like typography, visual composition, information systems, user experience, and digital interaction. Entry into the BFA Graphic Design track requires a portfolio evaluation following foundational coursework. Once enrolled, students must pass semester-end portfolio assessments to progress through the program. A mandatory professional internship complements the academic requirements. Beyond standard coursework, participants can engage in specialized sessions and masterclasses taught by industry experts and academic instructors.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
Students admitted to the BA in Design Studies may be admitted to the BFA in Graphic or Interior Design or the BS in Industrial Design on a space available basis after successfully completing required portfolio reviews in their first two years of study.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
