The Bachelor of Arts in Music program, provided by the School of Music and Dance, caters to students pursuing a liberal arts education with a music concentration. This flexible degree allows customization for individual interests. Completion of a senior project is mandatory.
Prospective students must pass an entrance audition. The curriculum includes core coursework followed by elective selections from at least two categories, chosen with guidance from the BA Music Advisor to align with the Capstone project (MUSC 182). Students must complete four semesters of lower-division applied lessons, with continuous ensemble participation required alongside these lessons.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
