The Department of Anthropology offers students a comprehensive education spanning archaeology, cultural anthropology, and biological anthropology. This interdisciplinary approach equips graduates for professional opportunities across various sectors such as healthcare, education, nonprofit work, cultural preservation, corporate environments, and beyond. Students gain valuable competencies including cross-cultural understanding, analytical reasoning, research methodology, and professional communication - abilities highly sought after in today's workforce.
Anthropology students examine human societies across time and space, applying these insights to modern challenges while developing an anthropological lens for interpreting human behavior. The program cultivates expertise in investigation, data interpretation, and articulate expression, empowering students to navigate our interconnected global community. Our curriculum introduces the field's fundamentals while offering specialized courses in cultural studies, archaeological methods, and human biology. Students can participate in hands-on research and community initiatives, benefiting from faculty who integrate their scholarly work into teaching. Degree options include a BA in Anthropology, MA in Applied Anthropology, and BA in Behavioral Science, with alumni establishing careers in diverse fields from legal practice to public health and corporate leadership.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
