The Master of Arts in Women and Gender Studies takes an interdisciplinary approach, allowing students to blend required and optional courses in Women and Gender Studies with electives from various departments throughout the university. This program examines women's issues, gender dynamics, and feminist perspectives within global and culturally diverse frameworks, equipping students to thoughtfully analyze concepts like gender, race, sexuality, nationality, social class, work, and physical ability. Candidates conclude their graduate studies by developing a final project under faculty guidance. This program facilitates in-depth exploration of women's historical roles and impacts across societies, while investigating connections between feminist thought, societal/international systems, and the construction of gender and sexual identities.
