The Department of Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts equips students to produce and analyze media content with critical thinking. Our program blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, teaching students to harness media for impactful communication that meets society's changing demands. Graduates emerge as principled, creative professionals who champion fairness, justice, and global awareness. The M.A. curriculum offers a holistic approach to communication studies, merging academic concepts with practical applications. Specializations cover visual media, audio/video production, journalism, digital media, creative writing, media management, and communication analysis. Students must complete at least 30 units to graduate, though some may need additional coursework based on their academic background, goals, and faculty guidance.
